I am having trouble installing a an M2250 console on a 7.6 CS1000 system. The console has all 5 tns wired to it. Primary, secondary and power all on the same DLC and the 5 tns are in order. It has been programmed in loads 12, and 15. When I plug the console in she lights all LCD indicators like she is going through her self test and then stays that way. All LCDs lit and locked up. I have tried two additional consoles and cables same thing. I disabled the card and reseated it, no change. Any ideas out there?

How far is the console from the phone system as short cable runs don't always require the power TN's.

All consoles should be installed as per NTP 553-3001-215 Telephone and Attendant Console Installation Guide (Installation and Maintenance Guide Book 2)
or Meridian Option 11 Standard Installation Guide NTP 553-3011-210.
Please ensure that in addition to the primary and secondary tns, two additional
power tns are fitted. These should be configured as power tns in Overlay 12,
type PWR. They should be cabled to the +AUX and -AUX leads.
When using PC console interface units (PCCIU) only one power TN is required and this is cabled to pair 5 (Slate/white,White/slate) on the TJF
NT have identified that failure to do this is contributing to the large number of consoles that are returned with no fault found.

CIU power pins
The CIU only has 1 power. 2 TN + 1 PWR
If you connect the second power the CIU will not come in service
Ascom state that these are the pins below.
The CIU takes it's power from the +AUX and -AUX. It is different to that of the 2250 which uses the 3rd TN.

26 (w-bl) 14
1 (bl-w) 2
27 (w-or) 15
2 (or-w) 3
32 (r-or) 19
7 (or-r) 7
33 (r-g) 22
8 (g-r) 10
See the NTP on atttendant console for the + and - AUX connections as the tip and ring are tied together.
Apparently this extra power will stop general problems on the Smile software and other glitches like going in and out of night mode.
