M2008 Phone on 3X8 system???

We have just bought a few M2008 phones and are trying to use them on a Nortel 3X8 Dr5 system. We are already using 2 different types of phones on this box, but when I plug in the 2008 phones, I get nothing. They are powering up, because I can perform some minor commands in the setup on the phones. I don't know however, what the next step is to getting them to work. The other phones just plugged in and were working?

M2008 phone will not work on a 3/8 Norstar System. You must use Norstar phones - M7208, M7310, M7100, M7324

M2008 sets are for the Meridian 1, not a Norstar. They won't work. Hopefully you can return them. Norstar phones begin with 7's like 7208, 7310, etc..
