I've got a PRI between an M1 and a BCM. We use location codes between sites. The M1 is site 001 and the BCM is site 937. I finally (after much frustation)got LOC codes working between the sites. Now I'm trying to utilize LD savings between them as well.

I actually only need to do this one-way. The M1 is dialing an 11-digit number and if I send it down the PRI to the BCM, it rings the attendant. If I use DMI and insert a 9, it does the same thing (rings the attendant). However, if I use that same DMI and also change the Call Type to CDP or UKWN, the call passes.

Here's the problem. Because CDP and UKWN are considered PRIVATE NETWORK calls, when the call does go through, the CLID is 001xxxx, which is an invalid CLID string, so when it goes out the BCM's PRI, the CLID is replaced with the BCM's Billing Number (by the CO).

Now, the wierd part. If I dial the Trunk Route Access Code, followed by the AUTO DN on the BCM, I get BCM Dialtone. When I then dial 9+number, the proper caller id goes out, but only if the DMI has the Call Type set for NPA.

Wierd one. Any thoughts?

Kris
