LVM and Fastt600's

Godd afternoon, folks. Have been following the recent LVM thread with interest and wonder whether anyone can explain how the LVM manages disks in a Fastt600. It seems to me that most of the management in terms of RAIDing etc is done within the Fastt management software, rather than the LVM - alternatively, is the Fastt management software just a 'window' on LVM for managing it? Thanks.

LVM doesn't really manage disks, the disks he gets offered are logical disks , he doesn't know which physical disks are attached to the logical ones.So indeed the raid arrays must be configured with the Storage Manager Software

Thanks for that. It's obviously similar to the way Raid Manager manages A1000s etc in Solaris.
