Hi all, I've got this dreaded problem again:

dre10dbo91:/> rmlvcopy fslv00 1
0516-022 lquerypv: Illegal parameter or structure value.
0516-304 getlvodm: Unable to find device id 0000000000000000 in the Device
Configuration Database.
0516-848 rmlvcopy: Failure on physical volume 0000000000000000, it may be missin
g
or removed.

Someone once upon a time I think has removed a PV with part of the mirror on it. The system no longer has any knowledge of this PV, it's not on the VGDAs or in the ODM.

Any help will be much appreaciated...

Thanks

This has been gone thru before...

HTH,

p5wizard

Thanks but

dre10dbo91:/> rmlvcopy fslv00 1 0000000000000000
0516-681 rmlvcopy: Name provided is of illegal length or content.
0516-922 rmlvcopy: Unable to remove logical partition copies from
logical volume fslv00.

As I said there is no trace of the old PV anywhere on the system. I *have* been searching for a similar problem but cannot find one.

Thanks

Have you run the command
synclvodm -Pv rootvg
before trying to remove the LV?

Yes thanks, I tried that.

Just spoke to an Anix engineer who said lreducelv would solve the problem.
He also said, however, that a reboot would solve it. Does that sound correct?

Try

chpv -c hdisk1 (or whatever the missing disk is)

then

rmlvcopy hd2 1 hdisk1
