Im having to plan for a large LUN migration (2TB LUN to a 3TB LUN) which is presented to a 2003 SP1 server. When I do some test migration using smaller luns (20-100MB) I notice the added space on that partition shows up in disk management so I do a diskpart extend command and it gives the following error:
Diskpart failed to extend the volume. Please make sure the volume is valid for extending
The partitoin is on basic disk and is not a boot/system partition.
It worked a few times during the tests but I cannot recreate a pattern. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
