Hi,

After adding some lun mapping to sd.conf file do I have to reboot the m/c ? I tried drvconf and disks with out areboot. But after this the when a do a format the new entries are not shown there. But when I reboot with -r option it gives all the mapping. I tried this both in Solaris 2.6 and 2.8.

Do anyone have any idea how to do this with out a reboot.

Thanks..

To get changes recognised without reconfig boot try running:
drvconfig
devlinks
disks

Please note that a reconfiguration boot is required to make any changes in /kernel/drv/sd.conf effective.

Carlos Almeida.
