Lucent P550 to Cisco 6500

I'm trying to connect the gigabit ports on a cisco 6500 and lucent p550 together but it isn't working.

The card on the lucent P550 is a M5502-1000LX-F. I have it connected via MM fiber to a LX gbic in the 6500. When I connect the two I can get link on the Lucent but nothing on the Cisco. Does anyone have any ideas??

I just noticed that the card in the P550 isn't a routing card but I didn't think that would make a difference.
