I have the model of dsl pipe in the subject and wondered if there was any software that runs on winxp/win2k to configure or monitor it??

Thnx

You can serial in or telnet into it to configure it. As for monitoring you on your own on that one.

You can try NavisConnect to try configuring the router. Monitoring the router is another matter. NavisConnect uses SNMP to configure the basics in the router for most people's needs (i.e. connect to an ISP for internet access). SNMP can also be used for monitoring the router as well, but you'll need to find an SNMP tool because Lucent only offers NavisAccess which is more for large network monitoring, is better suited to UNIX workstations and is $$$$.

However I agree with Deisel. Serial connection or telnet to the router. From there you can configure anything you need. NavisConnect is more of a quick configurer tool but won't allow you to do alot of things that you can do from a telnet window.
