I have a partner system with a LUADS programmed as a doorphone extension set to alert 2 phones. The problem I am having is that if no one is at the phones to answer the door it keeps ringing endlessly. I adjusted the timer, but that only adjusted the talk time and not the ringing time. Any suggestions?

I take this is coming in on a line port? If so, perhaps you could create a mailbox to answer after the highest amount of time to at least kill it. Just a workaround.

appreciate the response, although (correct me if I'm wrong), the LUADS is for analog ports - which is how I am connected. The LUUDS is for trunk ports.

The door phone itself has a timer inside it. By default, it can be set to disabled (which it sounds like yours is). If you take the cover of the door phone off, the bottom left side has the timer enable/disable feature. Make sure it is set to enable. Then, to the right of that you can set the time it takes before it disconnects (15 seconds min, 2 min max).

Yes, I have messed with that over and over again. What I've found is that timer has no affect on the ringing, only the talk-time. If I answer a call it will disconnect the call automatically after 15 seconds, but when I dont pick up it will ring forever.

Then you may be out of luck. There is no setting on the Partner that can be changed. They may need to add an extension or two to the alert extensions so that they make sure it is answered.
