I took the DataProtector default for BLKSIZE on our LTO4 tape drives of 64. I have found other setups use 256 on LTO3.

What is the optimal BLKSIZE for LTO4 tape drives....

I know it "depends", we do mostly HP-UX filesystem backups, but we also do Solaris, AIX and WIN filesystems...\

Starting SAP/R3 integration, which is why blksize may make a big difference with the amount of data that will need to go to tape...

For LTO4 I would recommend 256 minimum, but 512 may be ok.
Case of try and see I'm afraid.
