I've had this problem and can't really find a solid reason why this is occurring, even with HP support:
The drive has detected errors consistent with cabling issues.
Please check your cabling and connections between the host and the drive.
If you are confident they are of the correct type, and are in good condition, and these errors continue, then please contact hp support.
This is from the HP StorageWorks Library Tools, while running the 'Drive Assessment'. Could I just possibly have had the cables gone bad on me?
