LTO 4 drive cycles Configuring /Not Comunicate

I just got a few LTO 4 drives (drive only no sled) and we put them in our L700 library (we took the sled from a faulty LTO 4 drive, both of these drives are HP) and reboot the library the drive cycles through the configuring / not communicate indefinetly and never becomes usable. HP said that the firmware on these was good firmware for the L700.

Any ideas?

if I understand you correctly - the sleds are from a HP drives and you would like to connect IBM drives on the sleds...
I think the indentification cables are different...

No, its a HP drive and HP sled. The original HP drive works fine in the sled. The new 6 that ibtried do not. I am wondering if it is ab personality bit or something on the firmware.
