Can anyone tell me how to use the for="..." and event="..." attributes in the javascript header tag? Or even if they are even really html attributes? You can see an example of them in a folder on you win98 machine, in the file folder.htt (a hidden, system file). it can be viewed using notepad.
theEclipse
eclipse_web@hotmail.com
robacarp.webjump.com
**-Trying to build a documentation of a Javascript DOM, crossbrowser, of course. E-mail me if you know of any little known events and/or methods, etc.

The only HTML reference I've seen which mentions these attributes is at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> but it's very sketchy.

Maybe you also need a hardcore Javascript reference - try the one in the "Documentation" section of <A HREF=" TARGET="_new">

thanks, but I can't find anything at blooberry.com, can you be more specific?
theEclipse
eclipse_web@hotmail.com
robacarp.webjump.com
**-Trying to build a documentation of a Javascript DOM, crossbrowser, of course. wait, wait, nevermind, I found it, and you are right, it is verry sketchy

theEclipse
eclipse_web@hotmail.com
robacarp.webjump.com
**-Trying to build a documentation of a Javascript DOM, crossbrowser, of course. I also can't tell you much, but I do know this. These attributes only work with IE4/5. As such, you'll probably only find something about them at Microsoft.com.

I can't remember where I met this, but as I remember, the for refers to element on the page and event refers to event of this element and the code in the <script> is an eventhandler for the specific event of the specific element. Also not sure, but it is only MS specific, so you can try to search through the MicroSoft on-line documentation for more details.

Never used it.

IvanP
ip@thehyper.net
