...how do I turn it off? Or can I? I just think it looks really stupid when my nicely-grayed-out "disabled" elements still highlight normally, even if they don't do anything at that moment. I would think that CSS should provide a way to do this, but if there is, it's a proposal for CSS3. BTW: Does anybody know what the status of CSS3 is?

By chance do you have a Google Tool bar? If so, I think there's a setting that can be turned on/off that will fix this.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!
