I have an application that uses
docmd.TransferText AcImportFixed ... statement

I would like to be able to use code to open up a window to browse to the file I want to import with this stmt.

I looked thru the FAQ's but could not find a solution.

Hello. Ran into this one myself. I think you are looking for the FileDiaglog object. Check the help files. If you are still stuck, repost and I will try to find some old code of mine.

I think the FileDialog Object is available starting with version 2002. If you're on prior versions (or need the app to work on prior versions), have a look at Call the standard Windows File Open/Save dialog box.
