Right i have a simple "network" at home with one WinMe and one Win95 Machine but they sometimes dont want to see each other. Most of the time i am unable to browse the network despite being logged on as a user.
Named after the notorious East end Kray twins for the trouble that surrounds them
Ronnie (WinMe)
Reggie (Win95)
I used the networking wizard on Me machine but lets face it it is no harry potter! the disc it created for the 95 machine did nothing when i ran the setup.exe
I have them set on the same subnet 255.255.255.0 Ronnie's IP is 192.168.0.1 and Reggie's is 192.168.0.2
TCP/IP is installed on both machines
i am using a bnc connection.
I have used system in control panel both network cards are working properly
Ronnie is connected to the Internet via a broadband connection and i would like to be able to share this with Reggie (sooner rather than later)
Before i start slagging off Microsoft at the top of my voice because of the OS uncompatibility, have i forgotten something?
please help one very confused bloke! (any suggestions welcome)
