OK so CM 6.1 in Data Centre DL360G7 system platform and CM on latest service pack , then at branch office there is a G450 with S8300D with exactly the same platform and patch levels only difference id the template (obviously) , on the SMI the servers memory size match.
So a fault ticket came through saying the LSP was not updating translations overnight , which actually was because in system para maintenance , no body had ticked update ess lsp , so I set that to yes checked the next morning and the translations had taken( i created a test station on the main CM and in the morning it was on the LSP also) , also checking software version in the smi and list surv from CM on both servers showed the same info with matching date and time stamp , there are no alarms on CM or the SMI.
BUT... The lsp does not change the dadmin password to match the main CM on a translation save, so the main cm is (example..User: dadmin Pass:1234 , the lsp is User:dadmin Pass.4321) , now my theory is that this is design intent as its only to my knowledge sending translations and not security info when a save trans all is performed or the maintenance procedure carries out its thing. This is causing a major debate between ourselves , my support desk and the customer , I have searched high and low on Avaya docs but can not get a definitive answer.
So Question A. Is this behaving correctly and is design intent and the dadmin account can be separate for Main & LSP or is something going wrong.
Question B. Is there an setting somewhere that needs applying for the user and password info to be sent from Main CM to LSP.
Sorry for the essay but just wanted to be clear , thanks in advance guys. Monty
