Need your opinion on this scenario:

we have 3 sites, main S87xx/G650, ESS S87xx/G650, and 5 LSP S8500/G450 sites.

Let say my main is down for 5 days already, they want the LSP to kick-in first, (let say the LSP is already alive for 5 days already) and for some reason, they want to swing to ESS on the 6th day.

The challenge is, can we set a command on the IPSI's and/or G450s to force failover to ESS even though the LSP is up? (just want to get other peoples point of view)

You didn't say what version of CM you have, but of course it also depends on the MGC list on each G450... Do they have a CLAN on the MGC list that exists in the ESS site, before the local LSP IP (only 4 IPs allowed on the MGC list)? If they do, and you reboot the G450, it MIGHT register to the ESS site. You will have to try it.
