I would like to know a good command that can be used to find all installed software, excluding all (standard) software that was installed by the OS, (4.3 and 5.2). I’m basically looking for all nonstandard software that previous SA’s installed. I’ve tried the lslpp command and most of the options a still can’t narrow down the search.

Tell me what software is installed on this system, and prove it
Er.. well... It's not that easy.

If you're really on the case you could build a list of installed lpp's in a vanilla build and do some sort of diff but[ol]
[li]It will only pick up lpp type software. Not, for example, Oracle (which, in my case, is the main software installed)[/li]
[li]Maintenence will be a nightmare - it may have to be amended every time there's a new ML (on your 5.2 systems)[/li]
[/ol]
In short the magic wand doesn't exist.
