Before applying IY85293,
it was:

# lslpp -L Java*

Java14.sdk 1.4.2.20 C F Java SDK 32-bit

I applied it:

# instfix -ivk IY85293
IY85293 Abstract: SDK 1.3.1 32-bit SR10 : ca131-20060605

Fileset Java131.adt.debug:1.3.1.17 is applied on the system.
Fileset Java131.ext.plugin is not applied on the system.
Fileset Java131.rte.bin:1.3.1.20 is applied on the system.
Fileset Java131.rte.lib:1.3.1.20 is applied on the system.
All filesets for IY85293 were found.

But, when, after the install, I got:

# lslpp -L Java*
Fileset Level State Type Description (Uninstaller)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
lslpp: 0504-132 Fileset Java131.adt.debug.1.3.1.17.bff not installed.
lslpp: 0504-132 Fileset Java131.ext.plugin.1.3.1.19.bff not installed.
lslpp: 0504-132 Fileset Java131.rte.bin.1.3.1.20.bff not installed.
lslpp: 0504-132 Fileset Java131.rte.lib.1.3.1.20.bff not installed.

What is wrong with this?

It might not be related to your problem but try the hint given there

lslpp -L | grep Java

try moving to another directory or hide the * from the shell...

# lslpp -L "Java*"
