Recently my XP Pro PC was infected with generic pup.x
Incredibly it went right thru my up-to-date McAffee Internet Security. McAfee reported it after the fact.
I've managed to rid my computer of generic pup.x with MalwareBytes, however now when I power up & XP loads, I'm presented with this message.
lsasse.exe Application Eror
The instruction referenced memory at . The memory could not be written.
Click OK to terminate program
Click cancel to debug
Behind this message box, I see another box with:
Data Execution Prevention - Microsoft WIndows
Name LSA Shell (Export Version)
When I click OK, everything appears fine & I use my PC without any problem.
Is there anything I can do to correct this?
