I'm trying to setup a print server on Solaris 10. I'm trying to install the following packages:

SUNWpcr
SUNWpcu
SUNWpsr
SUNWpsu
SUNWpsf
SUNWscplp
SUNWspman
SUNWscpu

After installing the packages above, I ran 'lpstat -o.' I got the error below:

# /usr/bin/lpstat -o
ld.so.1: lpstat: fatal: relocation error: R_SPARC_JMP_SLOT: unidentifiable procedure reference: link-map 0xff3f7678, offset 0x1b995d, called from 0xff25ef40
Killed

Looks like a library link error. Do I need to define this env variable in my /etc/profile? Please advise.

I figured it out. The packages I installed are for Solaris 10 U3. The Solaris 10 version on the server is Solaris 10 U4. After installing the packages from Solaris 10 U4, all is well. Weird. I did'nt think it would matter. I guess I assumed incorrectly.
