I've been asked to upgrade a server from AIX 5.3 TL8 SP3 to TL9 SP3.

On the box if I run oslevel -s I get 5300-08-03-0831
Oslevel -rl 5300-08 returns no issues
Lppchk -v then gives:

lppchk: The following filesets need to be installed or corrected to bring the system to a consistent state:

Anyone know what these are? Everything is committed too so its not as though I can easily back them out.

Thanks.

Seems to me you (or someone before you) installed some software using InstallAnywhere for AIX. That tool uses random names to process/register the installations in the AIX software inventory.

Try finding out what files are installed with these filesets and take it from there:

lslpp -f gaw14f6caa4061f77af4994a6e150005
