I have many PC Users working with remote printing on SCO Unix Sys/V - Ver 3.2.4.2. That is all printing are made through TCP/IP, there's no serial printer.

I would like know the usage of LPDEST as environment variable so that the user can print automatically to his printer which is attached { parallel } to his PC.

Thank you
Salim

LPDEST simply sets the default printer for lp commands given without "-d".

If you have a Visionfs or local or lpd printer established on the PC, then simply set LPDEST to its name.
