LPAR 1

I have JS21 Blade Server and would like to create a LPAR on it..

But to do that I will have to install Virtual I/O Server Ver 1.4 , I try to boot the Cd from the SMS menu and it fails as per the below redbook Page 121:-

" IBM BladeCenter JS21 The POWER of Blade Innovation "

and the 2nd Option is through a NIM server

And now while setting up a NIM server I have the following error

either your CD drive is bad or you have a bad CD

Might also just be a speck of dirt on the cd surface or dust on the CD drive lens.

Wipe CD clean and try again

or

use an appropriate CD-drive cleaning kit and try again.
