I know this sounds ridiculous but my customer is complaining that she can't hear the caller when there is a lot of background noise. They are using T7316e phones and what she is actually saying is that the louder the background noise is in her office, the volume on the handset seems to get lower, like some kind of noise-canceling. Does anyone know about the handsets and if they provide this type of feature, and if so is there a recommended workaround?

No, handsets are full-duplex. Just make sure Volume is at Set and not System, this way she can crank up the sound and it will stay that volume after she hangs up.

Adversity is Opportunity

You can also cheat with the (loss package)setting under line programming to make the volune on that line louder, but that makes the line louder on all phones. Short setting is less volume an long is loudest with the default being medium.

Likewise. Crank the CO volume that way, and then users can manually turn down set vol as they need.

More people complain that they can't hear callers than complain that they're too loud.
