Low volume on out going recording from CP100. Recording sounds fine through F983, Line card has been changed, ports swapped to CP100, and main cabinet has been tried. Any ideas?

Low volume over all trunks. Yes recording done through telset. Telco says lines are "fine", however they are with a discount provider. At demarc on my test set the line volume seems o.k., to amke matters worse they are a global logistics company with many over-sea's customers. Sometimes, depending on where they are the reception ain't great anyways.

Assuming these are analog trunks ... are you familiar with the bulletin from Nortel regarding trunk damage under extreme ring current?

Have you replaced the trunk carts?

I would record greeting thru the phone and see if that makes a difference.

Can you be more specific?
What greeting is played when you call out?
