The answer to this might be as simple as defective hardware. I tried to set up a wireless-g network between 1 client and a broadband wireless-g router. During initial testing devices were aprox. 10 feet apart, in same room, connectivity was possable but signal strength was low. When moving devices 30 feet apart, to seperate rooms, connectivity was bad, and signal strength was extremly low. I thought this was supposed to work to about 150 feet. Any Ideas???

Are the hardware vendors for the router and NIC different? We ran into this problem mixing a few linksys routers with Cisco wireless cards. After replacing the card with a linksys, the signal was fine and all was well.
