LOW QPS on Bind Server

Hi Guys,

I have installed a BIND server on CentOS 6.6 (Desktop). It is a VM on ESX server. Specs of the server are 20 Cores and 4GB RAM. I tried load testing it using DNSPERF and I don't seem to be able to get above 30000 QPS. Even this value is achieved after switching off all logging.
I have seen people getting over 50K QPS easily. Appreciate if you guys can tell me how I can increase my QPS.

Interfaces are 10G (VM Vswitches)
I haven't done anything else other than using yum to install bind (all kernel level parameters are the same)
