Anyone have any ideas on why a MLS 12D would have low volume and some line indicators would light up? Tried moving to other port and also replaced the flex circuit but still same problem. All other phones working fine.

Thanks for any help

have you tried swapping the handset out ?

I have also seem problems with the mls phones in the plastic plug that you plug the handset cord into but usually that just gets static

Yes I have. It was alittle better but still lower volume then the other phones.

If the problem doesn't clear by trying different flex circuit and port, perhaps the wiring is suspect. Have you tried the phone plugged directly into the system, bypassing building wiring?

Actually I have tried swithcing phones and when I do the problem clears up. The problem phone is a Lucent model and the good phone is an old ATT model. DO the circuit boards ever go bad or are the any fixes/adjustments for them? I suspect it is that as I have tried different handsets with no luck also.

have you checked the handset plug solder connections where they solder on the board ?

a cold or loose solder joint could be the culprit

No I have not checked but I will and see what I find. Thanks for the help.
