Low memory warnings when workinf with photos (1gig installed)

Greetings,
I have a 2.4 GHz machine with 1 gig ram, running XP Pro. When working with photos, not editing or the like, I get a warning that I do not have enough memory. I find this odd as I have another machine with less processing power and less memory and don’t have this problem (same OS) Is it possible to do some optimizing with my virtual memory and or page file settings or anything else. You beat me to the punch...that hot fix works great...Its rumored to be part of a SP3 for XP when and if it comes out
