Hi all. After a number of hangups which you can read about in the thread listed below, I took out one SCSI board and its HDD and CD-ROM from its machine.

What I would like to know is, if Win2k can't read, format, or fdisk the drive, what can I do to low-level reset it? I would appreciate some very specific instructions, beginning with putting the whole SCSI card and chain onto a new machine, as I'm a bit green when it comes to the whole SCSI world.

Thanks in advance

SCSI controller may have a built in BIOS that contains the low level program.
Would help give the proper advice if you would tell us what controller card you are dealing with. Mfgr and model. Ed Fair
