I have recently bought a geforce 4 ti 4600 and i was very excited to see what it could do. I use it to play video games, mohaa,unreal2003,and bf1942 mostly. I am getting a low fps with all those games and i cant figure out why. I have updated all my drivers for all my hardware. Can anyone help me out?!?

i have a 1 ghz amd athlon processor
512 ram
geforce 4 ti 4600
win92SE

i understand the tweaking thing but i should have to tweak it to see a 50+ fps average, which i dont. Which brings me to another question that i have discovered last night. I only have a 250w powersupply, could that hurt my overall geforce 4 performance?

You have luck that you power supply didnt burn. The geforce 4 requires a 300 Watts power supply, minimun. If you have a lot of other devices conected to your motherboard i suggest you a 350 or 400 W power supply. When i bought my geforce 4 my power supply (250 W) only lasted 1 hour before collapsing. So better buy a new one as soon as you can.

i bought a ti4200 and un-installed old card then installed new drivers for new card but on benchmarking with 3dmark some of the simple tests were stuttering.

After hours of tweaking etc made only slightest bit of diference, so i wiped and clean installed win2k and got an extra 2000+ points in 3dmark.

i get over 10000 in 3dmark now, So maybe a clean install is what u need.

i think starting fresh is always easier [thumbsup]
