loudspeaker/phone page problem 2

We have a Magix system 2.2 with a mix of Partner phones (48) and Magix phones (36). We have recently added loudspeaker paging using a Valcom V-2001A controller and assigned it trunk 828. We do a line pickup 828 for loudspeaker paging and group page 799 for phone page.

Can we page through the loudspeakers and phones at the same time? Will the number of Partner phones create a problem?

2.2 was the first release that allowed "Loudspeaker Page with Group Page". According to the programming manual, the loudspeaker paging trunk is assigned under the Extensions menu, Group Page, Paging Group Number, and I'm guessing that instead of entering an extension number to include in the group you're going to enter the paging trunk number here.

The number of phones makes no difference.

I just tested this in my Lab system.

When you program Members of a paging group, even 799, it asks you to:

"Enter extension/line"

I was able to enter one of my Loudspeaker paging lines at that point.

AND - Since there's an appearance of the paging line on my set, the line lit up when I called the Paging group.

That feature is something we tried to get for YEARS in the LEGEND.

Prior to Bell Labs fixing this, there was a work around we used to do, but it was MESSY....

Thanks for the replies. When we add the line then attemp to page using 799 I do not hear anything over the loudspeakers or phones?

Any ideas?

If you access the line directly, does it work?

IF you take the line out of the group and do 799, does it work?

What kind of sets are you using?

Are they set to NO VOICE RECEIVE?
