I have to connect an external paging system to an AMB on Cxi (R8.0);

Hi,

I don't have the external system now, but I'm trying to understand how it works.

I have declared a FAC
No interconnection programmation
Loudspeaker Paging Assignment has been done, zone number 1

In COS, pager access is allowed...

The system has been rebooted.

When I call the FAC number, the system answer forbidden.

Do I need to have the external system connected ?
Is this external system behaving as an analog line ?
To declare several zones, I guess I need to have several paging connector (trhu ASU II for example) , right ?

Thank you

Now, it's about French users too !!!

Two possibilities occur to me.

1 - the page zone requires 2 digits (maybe not cant remember)

2 - If you are testing without picking up the handset it won't work. (I've been guilty of this too many times to count)

Number 2 is a definite slap your head moment.

Hi,

kwbMitel always on top !!!
I have been looking the way to let it work for days !!!!
As you said, I needed just to pick up the phone to let it work!!!

Damned...sometines I wonder what MITEL's guy are doing ?
Is there a good reason ? (maybe for speaker reason...)

Thank you

Now, it's about French users too !!!

This one gets everyone. My guess as to why would be to reduce the possbility of feedback. Imagine a user seated beneath a loudspeaker, then using their speakerphone to page; the feedback squeal would leave everyone's ears ringing for a bit.

WebMany,

You should start your own threads to ask new questions.

That being said, By default the PLID is 4-1-4-1 (found in technicians handbook)
