I have a 391c1 power unit, Merlin Legend R7 10.0 Cke3 processor, 008 mlx-U, 016 ETR, 800 gl-id, and i have merlin legend mail 007 MLM 2 port in the 4th slot.
The loudspeaker system is from the previous phone system that was installed which was a super old avaya system. There was a loudspeaker system that goes throughout the whole building and the manager wants me to hook it up, but i don't see a way to other then taking apart a phone and running the wire from the speaker on the phone to the avaya paging module. Is there something else i can do to get this running?

You need an amplifioer. You have several brands to choose from, Viking, Valcom and Bogen come to mind. All will work. What won't work is just hooking a phone up to your speakers.

haha yea i know that, i should've went farther in detail, the avaya paging module has an amp as well, i just don't know how i should connect the loudspeaker system to the phone system

The Legend uses a TRUNK port, programmed as a Paging trunk, to connect to the Paging system.

But, you will also need a Loop Start Paging Interface to go between the Legend and the input of the amplifier. The usual part used with a Legend is the UPAM (TAM-B by Bogen is the equiv) or a Page-Pal. These will provide talk battery to the Legend and couple to audio to the amp.
