I have a customer with an old merlin 820 - and they would like to have a loud ringer / or buzzer of some sort installed to ring with an extension in the warehouse - I didn't think it could be done but I'm sure if it can one of you guys would know how.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Paul- There is an adapter that can be plugged in the second jack next to the mounting cord under a multiline phone. I think it is a Z1C adapter or Genaral Purpose Adapter. You plug an analog device into it and it will follow the ringing pattern of the phone it is connected to. Your challenge will be to find one of these adapters. Good luck

There is a power failure/loud ringer cartridge that would plug into the bottom slot of the 820. The output of the ringer jack is -48vdc, so you would need a loud bell that is triggered by a dc voltage. These are still readily available.
