Loud Click

Has anyone ever run into the problem with the norstar phones, or phones in general where you will be on the phone with a customer or coworker and a loud click will occur during your conversation? It's to the point that not only can my users hear it, but the customer hears it as well.
Some one told me that its management listening in on our conversation. I checked and there are only certain extensions that are set up for this and some of the people that complain about the loud clicks are not on this list.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but earlier this year we did have a situation where our telephone system was hacked into and making international phone calls. We've blocked all international calling since, but could it be people trying to make phone calls out on our lines are getting block??? The clicking started about the same time, that's why I brought this up.

I don't know, but I would like to!

New one to me... What kind of lines do you have? Have you had your them checked by your telco?

You are saying the "click" is also heard internally from one extension to another extension?

From different ones to different ones?

Is this always happening or intermittent?

What level software do you have?
