I've done a quick keyword search and not found anything relevant, so I'll ask the following:

Does anyone here have any experience in migrating Lotus Notes over to Exchange Server? Specifically I'm looking for personal experience/recommendations of any of the (numerous) migration tools

Details are that this is for Notes 6.x to Exchange 2007, and I'd clearly prefer a tool that can talk direct to the Domino server and Exchange Server rather than having to replicate a mailbox out to an NSF and converting to a PST. And I need Calendars, Personal Address bokks etc to migrate as well.

Right now I'm looking at Nucleus' 'Kernel for Lotus Notes to Outlook' which, despite its name, seems from the documentation to do what I want - but the trial version won't let me experiment with the direct Domino or Exchage Server elements. So if anyone has experience of this or other products I'd be pleased to hear them.

I've done some good sized Notes-->2003 migrations using the Quest tools. The tools do a decent job, but, unfortunately, their support is dismal.

The advantage with the Quest tools is that you can run multiple migration workstations at the same time.

Ah yes - Quest was/is another on my list, so thanks for that.

I'm on leave this week but when I get back I will be using the kernel tool (bought it just before my leave started) to do a small migration.

When I have used it I can give you a bit more information on it.

Excellent! I've also been on leave for the last week - so I'll be looking forward to any info you can pass on.

Sorry for not replying sooner - hectic week back after a week off!!

I've only done some very quick testing so far but it seems to do what it says on the tin.

The interface isn't pretty and there are not many options.

I will let you know once I have done more testing but so far I have been able to point it to a domino server and select multiple accounts and export them either direct to the Exchange server or a PST file.

I am choosing to export to PST files to keep everything separate to an extent.

The one account I tested 1st was 750meg and it took about 2hrs but it can be left running and if you export to PST it just renames each PST to the users Domino account.

So far for the price (compared to Quest etc) I can't really fault it but that may change when I do the full migration....

...I'll keep you posted.

No problem - I've spent the week getting the test Exchange Server up and running and figuring out how to get push mail working for various devices without having to buy a certificate (Nokia E and N series, Windows Mobile and iPhone) and that's all working fine. Next step, next week is to look at transferring the data ...

Had to reject Quest in the end, as they charge per mailbox with a minimum of 100 mailboxes - so they are too expensive for my 30 user migration ... so I've gone with 'Kernel for Lotus Notes to Outlook'.
