I have a problem with Lotus Notes clients (versions 4 and 5) running on Windows 2000 / Citrix XP servers. Launched as a published app, if the user has their Internet browser settings within Notes set to use Internet Explorer, when they try to launch a htm document, an error appears, saying "Unable to locate program", Internet Explorer then opens, but with an empty page as apposed to opening the attached file.
This problem only occurs when running Notes as a published app. If these steps are repeated from a desktop session, everything works as expected. I have been using regmon and filemon, but so far to no avail.
Anyone seen this before...

Let me know if you get this reply (kevin.cooney@us.ngrid.com).

I just had a similar problem with launching and Excel spreadsheet. I could see that Excel would launch but could not find the file you launched or, in may case, the Excel file I wanted to see.

I went to Excel, Tools, Options and configured my home directory as the default location for files and the spread sheet popped right up.

In your case, IE cannot find the HTML file you want to see. Notes detaches that file and places it in a temp location. Find that location and change it to somewhere IE can find it.

Hope this helps...

See if this article from Citrix will help.

It's the first one on this list titled:
