Lotus Notes error - File already exists

I'm having almost the same issue as above mentioned thread.
(except it is not from home through a VPN, it is directly on my laptop at work... and I don't seem to have the 5-6 times and then it works...keep getting the pop-up box.. also on Lotus Notes 7)

Try to open Notes and get "File Already exists" in a pop up box, nothing else, and when I click ok, notes shuts down.


I tried deleting the bookmark.nsf as google seemed to find others who got this error after login and that fixed their problem, but no luck after that either.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This message appear when there is more than one process Notes running.

Just open the task manager and kill "nlnotes" and "ntaskldr".

Re open Notes....it works

Even easier - search the web for "killnotes", it does the same without having to hunt down all the processes.
