I am successful in creating an email from Access to Lotus Notes, but I am curious if a person can create a button in the new email that performs an action? It has all started from a vacation request idea(program). For example, I would load the Access application, click send email request to my boss, and he would get an email with a Accept-or-Decline button. Which in turn would respond to me via Lotus Notes.

I doubt very much that you can put Notes code into an Access mail. For that, you would have to be able to define a Rich Text Field and a button in Access. Sounds hard to me since Access does not have the Notes design objects. Maybe you could imagine that with an API of some sort, but I don't know where you can find that.
Such an application should be done in a Notes database, not an Access application. There are many advantages to such a system, the least of which is that you could access it via browser, and still get mails and alerts normally. The approval process would need no change, and each person would have a history of his own requests.

Pascal.
