I've searched the forums numerous times and have come across similar problems, but no solutions that would solve my problem so here goes:
I am running Windows 2000 Pro with Lotus Notes 6.5. When I hit a 'send mail' icon in any program or right click a file and hit 'send to recipient' Outlook Express comes up instead of Notes. Here's the suggestions I've received from other threads that I have tried:
- I've checked Internet Explorer - Tools - Internet Options - Programs and ensured Notes was default
- I've checked the mailto reg entries (HKEY_CLASSES\mailto as well as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\mailto) and they point to the correct location
- I've ensured that the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\Clients\Mail\Lotus Notes is correct and has the correct DLLpath
- I've checked in Lotus Notes - Preferences - User Preferences - Mail and ensured that the box 'use Notes as default client' was checked
The only thing that I saw on here but didn't really understand was making sure Notes was the default MAPI client. Isn't that what is set up in Internet Explorer options?
Sorry for the novel, any suggestions would be much appreciated!
