Hi all, need advices from all.As I'm total new to Lotus Note Server.

Currently, my customer Notes Server having problem of all mails being stuck in the queue, can't go to their ISP(SMTP Relay). This usually occurred in the afternoon. They have to restart the router and Firewall,in order to resolve the problem temporary.

For more detail.

1) There is a watchguard Firewall, connected to the router, and then out to their ISP.
2) Their ISP is acting as the SMTP Relay.

Any idea where is problem lies??

Hope to hear from all ASAP.

Million of thanks.

Thanks and Regards

Hello,

What version of Domino? Outbound Virus scanning? You can check the queue by typing "tell router show queue". Maybe mail is being queued to a specific domain? Also check the mail.box (or mail1.box, mail2.box etc, if multiple mail boxes are configured). This will allow you to see DEAD and failed messages, and depending on the version of Domino, allow you to run some agents to clean them up.

On some of the older versions of Notes, we simply would bounce the router to clear the queue. "tell router q" - allow for the mail router to shutdown, "lo router".

Hope this helps.

Rgds,

John

Hello,

No worries. Yes, either from the server (in the console Window) or from the Admin client (Server console). I would recommend the Admin client. That way you can go live, then pause. This also allows you to copy and paste the text.

Hope this helps.

Rgds,

John
