Running Netbackup Datacenter 4.5FP_3GA on solaris 9
I have 2 schedules set up to secure the data on a Windows Lotus Notes Client.
The first schedule/policy is backing the client up using the lotus-agent policy type and backing the following paths up: D:\notes and F:\notes\data. This schedule should ensure that the lotus db files are securely backed up.
The second schedule/policy is backing the client up using the MS-WINDOWS-NT policy type and using the directive ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES. This schedule should ensure all other files are securely backed up.
I would like to exclude the db files from the second schedule/policy so that they do not take up un-necessary tape volume, as they are large and effectively result in requiring them being backed up fresh each day giving me large incremental backups for this policy.
Am I correct that I can exclude the relevant (D:\notes and F:\notes\data) from the second policy, by excluding by policy type - and that I should thereby have all the required files securely backed up?
Any assistance/experiences in these matters would be of great help. Many thanks
