Hi,
Currently when my Domino team install Lotus onto an AIX server they require root user access and all the files are then owned by root.
However when Domino is started the actual processes are owned by the Domino users (notes). Has anybody ever changed the owernship of the files to be owned by notes thus removing the need for the administrators to have root access

Go ahead, there shouldn't be any problems. I do the same thing with WebSphere installs, which is installed by root, and then change the ownership so web admins can make their changes without involving me.
