I have encountered a problem, which should not be surprising in this environment. The clients are Win98 and 90% of them are successfully recieve & send, internet e-mail. 100% are sending internet e-mail. The environment is the domain host can only do SMTP and the POP is Mindspring, of which they have one account. Which would seem to point to the problem, but as I said most of the clients are recieving internet e-mail through Notes. The config. is adding an account in the clients personal address book for POP,which is simple process. I swapped out a workstation today, that did have full functionality of Notes Internet e-mail and performed a fresh install of Notes Client, same user ID and the e-mail snafu hit. The notes.ini are the same, the current location profile is the same as before and exactly like the users that can successfully recieve Internet e-mail. As you might can tell, I am not a full time Notes guy and yes I know they need an upgrade, badly. However, no cash in the till.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same brain dead person that started this thread. The mail hosting can only do POP3 mail not SMTP. Which means Mindspring is doing its job for SMTP. Which leads to me to a conclusion that the POP server client config. is wrong. However, I can set up MS Outlook with the same settings on the same Notes client and internet e-mails are recieved, with no problem. Maybe, I should like go home and sleep on it. Probably a good idea!
