Whenever I try to start Lotus 123 v9 I get a message
"Registry eror. Cannot create a new registry key. Make sure that your system resources are not low, then try writing to the registry again."
When I click OK I get a message box "Fatal exception encountered. Exit" The rest of Lotus Smartsuite is fine. I have tried un-installing and re-installing but 123 just will not play. Windows ME is my O/S.

I cant think of anything to try either-other than the uninstall and reinstall. It might be possible that the automated uninstall is not completely removing everything.
I cant come up with a document that talks specifically about manually uninstalling lotus products-found these things with ideas to translate to your specific situation.

1)talks about clean install - it's preceded by uninstall steps.

2)Towards the bottom-deleting failed upgrade installation
would look through the file and registry entries and try to relate the concepts specifically to your machine for millenium.

Basically, I think what it comes down to is to run the add/remove programs step, edit the registry and remove any lotus entries, and then remove the lotus folders. (If you've been using smart suite, be sure to backup your data out of those folders before you remove them.

Also-I dont know if this is true or not, but I seem to remember reading a comment in a thread sometime ago that the very first 9.0 millenium release had some bugs and the poster recommended upgrading to a later version. If you want to go that route you can pick up versions up to 9.5 very inexpensively on ebay. (I currently use 9.5 on win98.)
