Hiya peeps.

1st post & help needed asap.

I'm converting a Lotus 123 97 spreadsheet to excel. Getting on fine with all the macros etc but was wondering if anyone could help me write something in Lotus.

What I'm after is to create a macro to write out to a file, all the details about a cell e.g. size, bg colour, font colour, bold or just any attributes I can get about the cell.

The end user wants the new excel version to look identicle to the old one & during the conversion a lot of the layout was messed up or changed.

Can anyone help with this code or are there any tools out there that can do it ?

Cheers,

Si

One way to get your information is to use the @Function:-

@CELL(attribute;location)
or
@CELLPOINTER(attribute)

See @function help for the various attrbutes.

You would need to enter a series of functions in seperate cells each one having it's own attribute according to the information you require. This will give the basic attributes but might need some extra manipulation to make them more readable.
